Marketing Mentorship Program
AMA Chicago’s Marketing Mentorship Program matches new marketers with experienced professionals for monthly, one-on-one mentorship sessions over the course of 9 months.
The application period for 2026–27 is open through September 2, 2026.
Program Information
For Protégés
Whatever your marketing specialty, this program is your opportunity to receive one-on-one guidance and support from a member of the Chicago marketing community. You’ll be matched with an experienced professional based on areas of mutual interest and expertise.

Protégés should be:
- employed in a marketing position
- an emerging marketing professional with 1–5 years of experience
- able to provide clear goals for participation in the program
- willing to commit to actively participate and engage with mentors for 9 monthly one-on-one meetings (September through May)
- a current member of AMA Chicago (non-members may purchase a 1-year membership during registration)
For Mentors
Mentors are sought from all marketing specialties, including market research, social media, DEI, digital/SEO and project management. Share your valuable experience in managing your own career and overcoming obstacles. Apply to be a mentor.
Mentors must have:
- 10+ years of professional marketing experience
- a proven track record of success in senior marketing roles
- strong communication and leadership skills
- willingness to provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback
- a current AMA Chicago membership
- availability for an initial training session and monthly one-on-one meetings with a protégé
